3D model of a Bio Seize system

ELDI Aqua delivers first full-scale BioSeize system to Lerøy Sjøtroll

ELDI Aqua has entered into an agreement to deliver a full-scale pilot facility using newly developed sludge handling technology to Lerøy Sjøtroll. The delivery marks a milestone in the commercialisation of the BioSeize technology and will be the first full-scale installation of the solution in the market.
The delivery follows an extensive development and testing process carried out in close collaboration between ELDI Aqua, Rotor Aqua, and Lerøy Sjøtroll. BioSeize has been developed as a dedicated solution for more gentle collection and handling of sludge in sea-based aquaculture.
BioSeize is designed to preserve the quality of the collected material throughout the entire process. Compared to traditional solutions, the sludge is handled more gently, which reduces processing requirements, can contribute to increased value of the end product, and provides better conditions for further processing, for example into fertiliser or biofuel.
The fact that Lerøy is choosing BioSeize as the system for their sea site at the Blom location confirms that the technology meets a real need among a leading player in the industry. This is an important breakthrough in the transition from development to commercial phase says Thomas Myrvold, CEO of ELDI Group.
The solution has been developed with clear industrial requirements for stable operation, energy efficiency, and the possibility of further digital integration.
This delivery marks a clear shift from pilot and testing to industrial application. BioSeize is developed to handle sludge more gently, while the system has significantly lower energy consumption and requires less space on board the fleet. The design of the net and collection system ensures full separation of sludge and dead fish, and significantly simplifies installation, operation, and maintenance, says Yngve Askeland, CTO of ELDI Group.
The delivery to Lerøy is a central step in ELDI Aqua's continued investment in solutions for sludge and waste handling in aquaculture. The company is simultaneously experiencing increasing interest in BioSeize in other markets as well.
