From Production Worker to Production Manager: Meet Annelin Kallevik

Annelin Kallevik started at ELDI as a production worker in 2019. Six years on, she's Production Manager, responsible for keeping the whole floor running. It's a path that gives her something not everyone in her position has: she knows the production from the ground up.

A day on the floor

Ask Annelin what her job actually involves, and the answer is practical:

“Making sure production runs smoothly, that the team has the right materials, that work is planned properly, and that what goes out the door meets the quality customers expect. I spend much of my time following up on production, working along side the team, planning and coordinating tasks, providing support and training, and continuously looking for ways to improve how we work.”

She's deliberate about staying close to the people doing the work.

“I like being close to the production and the people doing the work. I think that's important, because that's where you really see what works well, and what we can do better.”

What "Expect More" means to her

For Annelin, "Expect More" isn't an abstract line.

“It means always trying to do better. It's about quality, teamwork, and finding better ways of working.”

A different way of seeing the water

Annelin's connection to the sea goes back further than her career.

“My dad has always had a boat, and we went on a lot of boat trips and did a lot of fishing when I was growing up. I've always wanted to live close to the sea and have a boat myself, and now I do. ”

It's part of why aquaculture and fisheries appealed to her in the first place. Her background changes how she looks at a fish farm out on the water, too.

“I see the work behind them and all the people involved in making everything work. You see more than just what's floating on the surface.”

What makes her proud of the industry is simple.

“I'm proud to be part of an industry that produces food for people around the world. And I think it's nice to know that the work we do here in production becomes part of something much bigger.”
