Custom-Built Float Lines
The float line from ELDI consists of a series of trawl floats or buoyancy elements threaded onto a rope.
Rope type, strength, and buoyancy are configured according to customer specifications.
Today, high-tensile ropes are used to a greater extent than before. This prevents gaps from forming between the floats during operation, reducing the risk of the net being forced down between the buoyancy elements and sustaining damage.
Float lines are primarily used during fish delivery from cages, where they help guide and collect the remaining fish after the net bag has been partially lifted and dried.
